About me
Alejandra Saldivar is an experimental animator and moving-image artist whose work explores how our perception shapes our experience of the environment and interpersonal relationships.
Her work has been exhibited at several venues and festivals such as: Shapeshifters Cinema (Oakland, USA), as part of the film series Gravitational Lensing, presented in association with the San Francisco Cinematheque; the Images Film festival (Toronto, Canada), the Athens International Film + Video Festival (Ohio, USA), Ithaca Experimental Film Festival (Ithaca, USA), Film Diary (New York, USA), South Campus Art Gallery (Florida, USA), among others. In 2024, she traveled to London as the Center for the Humanities and the Arts Hazel Barnes Flat Artist-in-Residence.
She earned her M.F.A. in Art Practices at the University of Colorado, Boulder, with the support of a Fulbright-Gracia Robles Grant, awarded by the U.S.–México Commission for Education and Cultural Exchange (COMEXUS).
